The game loads and starts up just fine. But it's as though I were using an invisible cursor (can still make choices, but just can't see cursor).

I'm running it on Win 7 64bit in XP sp3 compatibility.

Thanks.

EDIT: I've just read the instructions. If I get this straight, I am supposed to move the invisible cursor blindly around until I happen upon a usable item? and That's when it appears? strange....

Does the game have a choice to use "system cursor" in the game options?

there doesn't seem to be Jenny.

There are music and sfx sliders, two radio buttons: fullscreen (checked) and DON'T SHOW TIPS (unchecked), and the OK button. Nothing else.

Have you tried rebooting?
Have you tried the game without the compatibility mode?

Yes and yes, in any order smile

I even uninstalled, purged temp files everything and reinstalled. Still no joy.

What kind of mouse do you have?
Does it use special drivers or are you using the generic mouse drivers that came with Windows?

Corded mouse. Original Windows drivers.

The pointer works perfectly with other apps and games

What if you uncheck the Fullscreen Option?

Did that. I then got prompted to change my screen res to something higher than 1024X? , which I did. No effect, and the game still stayed in fullscreen mode... Still no cursor.

Someone on the bigfish forum suggested pressing the CTRL key to make some kind of cursor appear, but it does not work for me.

I am starting to wonder if the game itself isn't made this way, because in the 2nd game the cursor only appears on active spots/movable objects etc, otherwise it's also completely invisible, but it does highlight menu functions when hovered over them.

Anyway, thanks for your help Jenny. I'm giving up on this series and moving on to the Dream Chronicles series, which works perfectly on my machine.

thanks smile

No it's not supposed to be that way. You should see a cursor in both games. If you check the Big Fish video ***here*** you'll see the little arrow. I don't know why it isn't appearing for you. Did you buy the game from Big Fish? If you did, and they aren't able to get the game working properly, they'll give you a credit for another game.

Have seen the video Jenny , and you're right. An arrow was present. So I guess I 'll have to ask for that credit.

Thanks for all your help smile
