I am having a problem with the lock pick set.

I click on the barrels, according to the walk through, they move but nothing happens.

I try to move the slider to the right. It moves but still nothing happens?

Any ideas?

I have no idea what I am doing wrong.

Alan

Hi Alan,

I moved your post and created a new topic for you. smile

Quite a few members have reported bugginess at this spot in the game.

chrissie said on an older thread:

You have to make sure that the lock-pick is directly under the right number barrel.

You might already be doing that.

Let's wait and see if anyone has any other tips that might help you through.

One more problem.

I am trying to get the crypt open. I have looked at the last page in the book.

I have turned the 4 plates and nothing happens.

Which way do they go?

I assume they are to be turned upside down from the way it shows in the book.

But how do the side plates get set as they are horizontal. What is upside down for them.

You have to look at the illustration in the book bearing in mind that the flaps showing the symbols are going to be folded down (if that makes sense!) So the symbol at the front of the coffin should be in the same direction as shown in the book. The roots at the side & the crown at the back need to be upside down.

To rotate the plates just walk around the coffin until you get close enough to each one to click on them.

Sorry but I have tried and tried and still can't get it.

When you first enter the crypt. (the door is to your back)

Is that the front or back? Should that plate be upside down or right side up?

When you first enter the crypt you see the front of the coffin. If you move closer and pan down to the plate on the front end a hot spot should appear which will turn the plate if you click on it. The plate should already be in the right position so no need to turn it. (It should look the same way up as it does in the illustration) Go around to either side of the coffin & if you pan down you will see the plates with the roots on the sides of the coffin - you need to move near enough for the hotspots on the plates to appear. Click on the hotspots to turn the plates so that the roots are upside down. Move round to the back of the coffin & pan down until the hotspot appears on the plate then click on it to turn the crown upside down. hope that helps!

Finally!

At first it still would not work. I restored from an earlier point in the game. When I did the crypt again it worked perfectly the very first time.

A glitch in the program perhaps?

Thank you ever so much for all of your help.
