Hi I bought " The Dark Eye - Chains of Satinav" download from GOG and then installed it and made one save. Specifically to find out the location of the saved games. But I can't find the save !! I've tried several of the routes I was given in a previous thread here plus the route that Gog sent me when I was trying to find the saves for their release of Scratches Director's Cut - but nothing has turned up the save for me So .... Does anyone have the GOG download installed on a Win7 machine ?? And if so, could they please tell me if they know where their saves games are located ?? Thanks. Mad

Hi MaG Thanks for your very swift reply, but, unfortunately, the save isn't there, either It's going to be such a nuisance if whenever I install a game on my lovely new machine I can't ever find the saves Cheers. Mad

Hi Jenny100 Yes. I've checked "Roaming" but didn't find the save. In fact I've checked a lot of the routes suggested when I had this problem with Scratches Director's Cut but none have found the save for Chains of Satinav so far [The only game I have installed on this new computer that has saves in a sensible place is "Secret Files 3" !!] Cheers. One thought - it could be in a "Deep Silver" folder (developer).
--------- I reactivated my game and found the saved game folder in my win7 here: C:\Users\Computer's name\AppData\Local\Daedalic Entertainment\Satinav\Savegames
Sorry that it is not where yours or the GOG release is located.

My GOG game downloads go into my Documents. (I have Win 7) My saves for the games are also there. I have looked through and found that Win 7 has put games and saves in the most odd places!! Wish it could make it's mind up!!

Sorry that it is not where yours or the GOG release is located. Hi again MaG .... Thank you so much for going to those lengths to try and help I'm afraid the saves aren't in that place on my machine. I've also tried several variations like adding "Gog" to the mix and/or using "The Dark Eye" as the title. [And I'd already tried substituting "Deep Silver", too, earlier.] Upsydaisy .... My Gog downloads go into My Documents but not the save games. It's looking like I'll have to go and ask Gog where they are !! Cheers. Mad

But, still... what a silly place to put a saved game file!
Once again, weeds are my life!

Absolutely !! I'm nervous now (every time I install a game) that I won't be able to find things [I just installed a new game to my ancient Win98SE machine and finding everything afterwards was SO easy ]
