Hi Callista, I downloaded and applied the patch, and I'm happy to report that it DID work for me in this game. I did not purchase the game from Zodiac, so it might explain why it worked for ME, but not for others who DID purchase this game from Zodiac. In any case, thanks for pointing me to the link that contained the patch. HAPPY GAMING! Sandy

Hi Guys
I hope someone can help me,I downloaded the game through, the Adventure Game Shop, I have played the game right to the piano part twice, the first time I tried the Esc key right after pressing the piano key No 4 (as per the walkthrough) it did not work, the game locked up, so I downloaded the patch, but when I went to install it, it said it could not find the Louisiana game? so that did not work, I am now at the point where I have virtually completed the game twice but because of a bug I am at a brickwall, maybe a save right after the piano puzzle if possible as I am now nearing the lost hope stage, sorry for such a long post
Cheers SAFC

SAFC, I had the same problem you have to put the patch in the game folder yourself. It should be in your program files. Richard

Hi Richard
I have also tried that as when I downloaded the patch I unzipped the file and copied and pasted it into the Louisiana Adventure folder but nothing happened, when you say put the patch into the folder yourself what do you mean
cheers SAFC

You did it the same as I did SAFC. Don't know why it didn't work. I copied and pasted it to. Richard

SAFC, Let's hope someone can give you a saved game. Maybe a replay from a previous saved game might help also.

If you can email me privately, I can send you a Game Save taken moments after getting the coded letter from the piano. That way you can get to finish your game.

Today, Peter Bauer from SilverPlay sent me a new patch for Louisiana Adventure. Although an older patch worked for some, if the game was purchased through Zodiac, the patch never worked. If anyone here is playing and the game freezes, especially at the end with the piano puzzle, please contact me and I can send you the latest patch. I just installed the patch and it worked perfectly on the piano puzzle, so no more hitting the Esc key.
Good luck all you wonderful gamers.

Here is the URL for the latest new patch if anybody needs it. http://www.gamefront.com/files/22779549/LouisianaPatch_EN.zipWhen asked for the destination, use the path where the Louisiana.exe file is located.

I can't find directions on how to get about in this game, so I've been muddling along without being able to read my notebook or look at my inventory items unless I am interacting with someone or briefly when i pick something up. Now I have to mix pills with whiskey in my inventory so...stuck I am. Can anyone help me out with some "how to's?" Thanks so much!

To access the Inventory, hit the I key on your keyboard. Within the Inventory items you will notice the Notebook. Click on the Notebook and you can get all the notes that you have observed. On the right hand side of the Notebook there are three symbols. Clicking on these bring up the notes you have taken, detective points and rewards you have scored; and depending on what dialog choices you have made, how people feel about you. Hitting the Esc key brings you back to the main menu.

Ahh, Thank you so much KJOS and Callista. Got it. Do you know how to restart the game from the beginning? I don't see it as an option. If not I'll just move forward. Thanks very much for your help.

I found no way to restart the game via a menu option. When I wanted to play a new game, I had to uninstall the game and re-install it again. That is one of the weaknesses in the game.

Yes, always install the game first, and then the patch. Be sure to unzip the patch file before using it. Then move it where Callista indicates: When asked for the destination, use the path where the Louisiana.exe file is located.

I think wherever the main exe file is, that's the place to put it. So search for the game folder itself, then inside that, look for a file named "Louisiana.exe" and place the patch in that location.
