ok here is an update on granddaughter, she is basically in heart failure, they are going to wean her off the meds that the one hospital gave her tuesday nght to help her heart keep working. they are going to try oral heart meds . she won't be able to take her adhd meds but they are going to try her on a new med for her asbergers and bi-polar. the heart transplant isn't out of the guestion yet.
also she still has the breathing machine tube in and they will take it out before she fully wakes up. they want her to wake up on her own
We won't be able to start medication for atleast another week depending how she tolerates everything. forgot they also did a biopsy so maybe we can find out what caused this

So much to handle for such a young girl. How are her spirits?

so far ok. daughter was amazed at the response of all the cards that has been sent. granddaughter was still asleep when she called me , at the time they were changing her pic line. i will get to talk to granddaughter later if she feels up to it.also daughter said that an old case manager of granddaughter has taken up donations at the learning center she use to go to

Aw My10....HUGS!!!! That sure is a lot for one to have to go through. Prayers that all will be fine in time for her.

just got word granddaughter is awake from anesthesia, off ventilator , doing good. she is still very tired but doing great

yes now to get on with some healing and hopefully the oral meds do the job when she gets to start taking them

Oh Rugs, that's good news. Sending more healing prayers and huge hugs for you and your whole family. I'm guessing you're not getting much sleep. Try and take a nap now and then. And don't forget to eat something. You need to keep your strength up.

a small update. they ar hoping to wean her off some meds starting today to get her ready for the oral heart meds and alos hopefully move her out of icu tomorrow so she can move around a little more than she is getting too. poor baby is getting tired of being poked and prodded

guess granddaughter had a bumpy night. her o2 and respirations would increase then drop setting off her machines. she did get to walk around for a little last night. daughter is waiting on the dr to come in now as i type and i will let you know more later
