I'd like to start by saying that I support and agree with the concept of the Kickstarter thing and I have personally contributed to 7 projects to date.

However, what I find sorely lacking is the information that I really want to read about. I get emails periodically updating me as to their various goodies (ie T-shirts, posters etc) and how they are coming along on finding this and that to improve the game and who knows what. That is all well and good but I really don't care much for that information personally. I'm sure that there are those that do I'm just not one of them.

What I would really like to read about, is their target date for release. I realize that there are many obstacles that could change the date and they may not be able to meet expectations, but I would like a general idea of when I might be able to actually play the games. When their target date approaches and they are unable to meet it I would understand if they would just keep me apprised.

Right now I feel like an investor who is treated like a mushroom.

Anyway that's my rant and I got it off my chest.

Why don't you post on their kick starter and ask them? If you are backer you can post.

There is a timeline when they start the kick starters so if there is no change they likely won't say anything.

I really wasn't expecting an answer and it really wasn't a question. I was just sharing my opinions in general of the whole experience.

However, the only way I've found for any type of participation on the kickstarter site is their questions at the end of each individual game and I did ask there. If there is a kickstarter board I've missed it somewhere.

Anyway I apologize to anyone who might think my comments here are inappropriate. I just felt like ranting.

I tend to agree with you, oldman. Emails that come in occasionally saying, "We're working on it, we're working on it!" are all well and good, but it would be nice to know when we'll have a chance to play the games. Goodies don't interest me either. It is the game I want. At least, I hope I do.

Some games have forums. Double Fine has one for The Game Formerly Known as Double Fine Adventure. I have no idea if it would do you any good to join one of them to find out when an upcoming game will be available though.

Gil.

Yes I did mean to post the question on the game in questions kickstarter page. I do however believe that no update is generally because they are working steadily and if there was a big date change they would announce it.

I thought some of them were supposed to be be doing update videos for investors - Double-Fine and Jenson
for example. You invest in theirs?
