(A la Pandora) In each row, find a 3-letter word whose letters, in some order, can be used to complete the 7-, 6-, 5-, and 4-letter words. Example: s-a-l-w, -al--p, be---, -o--, --- (swallow, wallop, below, wool, low) -1. -pi-r-m, -l-r-d, b-r--, ---r, --- -2. c---mic, d--k-n, --ng-, n---, --- -3. ---erer, s--r-h, -e--h, --s-, --- -4. –here--, m-n-o-, s--e-, -a--, --- -5. p-st--e, r-d-u-, s-g--, ---n, --- -6. –-rabl-, sub---, s---e, --n-, --- -7. ad---ed, --she-, --ga-, t---, --- -8. p--ot-d, ch-s--, a-s--, --f-, --- -9. --n-tor, --sur-, -n-r-, ---e, --- -10. de---ds, --pal-, -o--d, --e-, ---

Hi Jema, is the first word of #3 correct? The missing word seems likely to be CAT except for that!

Hi curly. You, manxman, and michelle rose Hi Lex. You're right, it's wrong. It should be ---erer and cat or act is the 3-letter word. Since you've obviously solved it, even with my mistake, I've changed the original post and marked it off.
