Each abbreviation below, in everyday usage, can stand for two completely different things. What?
-1. AC -2. PC -3. MP -4. BC -5. PR -6. OT -7. TM -8. PDA -9. IRA -10. ERA -11. CD -12. LOL -13. LCD
The moon is actually more useful than the sun since the moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun only gives us light during the day when it's already bright out.

Wonderful solves! While all of the answers probably work, #4, 5, and 12 need different ones added.
