They are exactly the same in Windows 7 as long as you know where your saved game folder is.
At least I assume you mean putting a game save file from someone else into your game?

Sometimes the game saves go to some strange places. Try looking here (you may have to enable hidden files - Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Folder Options, View, Advanced Options, Show Hidden Files)
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Dreamfall\Save\

Did you look in My Documents to see if Dreamfall had created a folder there for saves, Robert?

It's not uncommon for games to go to this file in Windows 7. But if it's not there, then you'll have to look further.
Like Gil says, they might have gone to the Documents folder. I guess I assumed you already done a search for Dreamfall??

Did you do a search on the entire computer?

i don't understand 'whole computer'. part computer??? robert. By default Windows does not search your entire Windows installation for files. So it misses places where game saves could be hiding. Check this site for how to search your entire hard drive for files: http://computing-tips.net/Find_file_Windows_7/

According to the forum at GOG, Dreamfall's saves are found in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\the longest journey\Save\
So it's not under Dreamfall. It's under The Longest Journey.
Users on both Vista and Win 7 found the saves there.

I meant what Jenny posted. First you try doing a normal search by clicking Start and then typing in your search word in the box. It should start listing results above. If that doesn't find it, then try the other steps.
But it sound like traveler has it - why they would put it under The Longest Journey escapes me though!

Nope, got that wrong, Draclvr. Mea culpa. So, what I've done to make amends is asked a question on the Dreamfall forum. If anyone can tell me where the saved games are I'll pass the info on.

Okay, I've got a reply from Plumgas on the GOG forum. "win 7 usually is user/user name/app data/loca/virtual store/program files/gog /saves" He added this, which I don't really understand, but..."under installer v2 program files /gog" If this helps, Robert, go vote for Plumgas' post and mark it as the solution. I hope it is what you're looking for. Gil.
