I'm still getting used to how this game works, navigation, conversations, use of inventory, etc. It seems pretty confusing trying to move around from scene to scene. I know about the "H" key, to show scene exits, but it still trips me up. It is early days.
I am finally at work, have talked to everyone, and now I need to leave (to buy lunch for the programmer nerd). I can't leave without getting the boss yelling and stopping me. I looked up the WT and it says he'll eventually offer me some additional time off if I talk with him long enough, but this option does not come up in the dialogue options. I've run through that scene three times now, listening to the guy pontificate (whew!) over and over, my guy always saying I have another question, but he never gets the option to ask for more time nd the boss never offers. Any ideas how I get him the time off so he can leave the building?

Hi Reenie, The dialogue trees in this game can be really tricky. New lines can appear as branches from old lines, and it can get a bit at times. Here's a YouTube clip that covers the dialogue with Martin's boss. The line comes in at around 16min 20sec, but you'll probably want to start watching a few minutes before that so you can see how it reaches that point. Moment of Silence

Thanks so much! That branch of dialogue never showed up for me, but now I see how I can reach it. Hopefully.
This game is intriguing, but is starting out WAY too "talky" for my taste. Did other people have the same reaction? I mean, I would like to get on with things, but keep being faced with these long, obligatory conversations. This one with the boss stopped me cold for almost an hour, and one mistake in the "tree" sends you go down a dead end for good. ha ha I wonder, does the game continue in this style?

Looking at the walkthrough, it says: Talk to Lou, the man until you get your messenger. Take the messenger in front of a computer on the table behind you. The table is the one at the center of the room. Maybe that will help you locate it?

Another walkthrough says that the messenger is "in front of the red monitor on the table". Can you see a red monitor?
