Clues lead to a headline type sentence that all begin with the same letter. The first number in parenthesis identifies the number of words in the sentence. The second number indicates the number of letters that are common at the beginning of each word)
Example: bleak paintings seem genuine (4-1) = austere art appears authentic
-1. frightening ghost ruins extraordinary pasta (5-2) -2. overly-confined man of the cloth empties messy nunnery (5-2) -3. brain-dead actor dares a few goons (5-2) -4. woeful skydiver falls beyond mountain face (5-1) -5. bunny breeder beats virulent masked creature (5-2) -6. surly produce seller complains offensively (4-2) -7. bug blight fascinates brave warranty examiner (6-2) -8. crazy physician lets hard-working pharmacist go (5-1) -9. hairless stylist wears brilliant scarf (5-1) -10. horseman throws off huge riding pants (4-1)

I like that one too, Jema Two good solutions for #9 and an alternate for #5 (I had rabid). manxman, my third word is a bit longer but starts with the same two letters.
