Duke Grabowski, Mighty Swashbuckler!
Might doesn't always make right.
What if Errol Flynn were a 400 lb, 7' 2" behemoth, and thick as a brick?
San Francisco, August 7, 2014 - Venture Moon Industries launches a Kickstarter campaign today for its
first point-and-click adventure, Duke Grabowski, Mighty Swashbuckler! (PC/Mac/Linux/OUYA)
The game's protagonist is big and dumb, no way around it. "I wanted a different kind of lead character,"
said designer and art director Bill Tiller, "We're always playing underdogs in adventure games, the thin
little smart aleck who enjoys solving puzzles. What about a huge brute who tries to solve everything
with his fists? How would that change gameplay?"
Duke Grabowski is that brute—a massive, angry pirate who lived to serve the legendary Captain
Amerigo. After Amerigo's tragic death, Duke became obsessed with replacing his mentor as the new
captain of the ship.
His reluctant but crafty crew say they can only follow a true swashbuckler, someone charming and
smooth with the ladies. They give Duke an impossible task: seduce three tempestuous women. Only
then will the crew accept him as their leader. Duke is a fighter, not a wooer, and his constant scowl
makes people scream. How can he ever succeed?
Enjoy gorgeous tropical locations, engage in comic pirate mischief, and help this ox become a suave
and sophisticated hero.https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2133563544/duke-grabowski-mighty-swashbuckler
