Hi Robert, I moved your post over to Adventure Game Discussions. I would recommend GOG; here is the link: GOG (Good Old Games) They have a pretty good selection of both older and newer adventure games.

Be careful of GamersGate. There's a thread in the GOG forums about GG removing some of the direct links to download DRM free games and replacing it with a Steam key. The only two I recall are Grey Matter and The Inner World but there may be more. If you care about that, you might want to back up any DRM free games you bought from them.

DotEMU is DRM-free, like GOG. http://www.dotemu.com/enDotEMU has very few adventure games that GOG does not, but there are a few. DotEMU has Salammbo and A Vampyre Story, which GOG does not. Also DotEMU still offers Dark Fall 1 and 2, while GOG has removed those 2 games from their catalog.

There are some good guys left in this world.
GamersGate has restored the DRM-free links they removed and replaced with Steam keys on some of their games and it's all due to Jason Carver, a member of GOG's forums and an employee of Viva Media. He posted this earlier today.
"Thanks for Sachys (a forum member) for pointing this one out. We restored all of our customers DRM Free downloads for our games on the Gamers Gate website.
"We greatly appreciated your patience while our marketing department sorted this one out at Viva Media and we thank you for supporting our games."
Jason Carver Community Support at Viva Media / Encore Software
To the thanks he got, he replied, "Your welcome everyone, I think this must have been frustrating for some but the good news is that we like happy customers and will do anything to ensure complete satisfaction. :)"
Viva Media is lucky to have Jason. What he did is better than any number of ads for GamersGate.
