Between replaying older gems I also try to play some "new isch" games. At the moment I'm really close to the end playing Nikopol and I have a few when it comes to "giving" this game the label a so called Adventuregame. In my "book" of labeling games, Nikopol is NOT an Adv game. Why To many moments in this game "shines" action to me. Plenty of times were you die being shot , sometimes because you've missed to shoot with either your gun or killing guards among other "things" using traps . Lets not forget the "Sneakin" around avoiding guards out to kill you . To make a long moaning short. This one's def not for me and it belongs on the "Darkside". It's my humble opinion Cheers

I remember this game definitely having its share of problems for adventure-game players. Here's a GameBoomers review which might be of interest.

I did not like the game at all. Not only was the game heavily dependent on annoying stealth and timed sequences, but the story was told very poorly in the game and was nowhere near the quality of either the ***original graphic novels*** or the ***movie (Immortal)*** that was based on the graphic novels.

I've had this game a long time but never played it. Doesn't sound like I'll enjoy it much either with timed sequences etc. but one day I'll probably give it a go and then drive Marian nuts on the hints board.

I know I played this, if I recall it was a great game and if you died you started right back where you were so it wasn't like you had to start over. I must have blocked out any bad.

I do not want to be rude B E T but I think it's about time for you to replay this game. Yes you're correct about the "restart from the moment before you died" but that does not make "a homerun" I know that we all have different tastes in games but refering to this game "as a great" game is to push the limit a bit to far. Anyhow thats my opinion. Cheers

I remember playing this game a long time ago. I only bought it because I loved the bleak wierdness of the movie. I don't remember being overly thrilled with the game.

I'm afraid I'm with the "didn't like" brigade. Not what I would call a true Adventure at all and I couldn't bring myself to finish it

I enjoyed parts of it -- the pure adventure non-stealth/non-timed parts. It annoyed me hugely at certain points, particularly towards the end when the stealth/timed elements increased.
