Download all the install files to your hard drive.
Then burn them to disc.

Usually DVD write speeds are a lot faster than download speeds.
Also some games are larger than a single DVD.
So it's best to download everything you want to burn first, then decide what's going to fit on the DVD.

By default my GOG games download to Documents/My Documents/GOG.com downloads. on my win7 machine. Inside that folder should be folders for each game downloaded. All you need to do is burn the install files onto a dvd. If the install files are too large for a dvd you may either burn part on one dvd and part on a second. You may get away with using a double layer DVD which accepts 8.5 gigs. For instance the latest Dreamfall Chapters comes in three files. Setup_dreamfall_chapters_2_9_0_13.exe that file is 34.260kb That is your install file. You also need the two bin files Setup_dreamfall_chapters_2_9_0_13-1.bin and Setup_dreamfall_chapters_2_9_0_13-2.bin The bin files are 4gigs and 3.75 gigs which will require 2 dvds for the three files.

If you cannot locate them download a game from gog and while downloading check the Gog installer to see where it is putting your game.

I hope you have luck finding them it can be a heck of a search. You can go to your browser and select a location where it will direct all of your download files. I don't know if things like GOG downloader will let you do that I never looked but I bet you can. I put a folder on my C-drive named Downloads and everything goes there it makes life easier. Like I said I never looked at GOG Downloader. I'll try that the next time I go there. Yes I have tried GOG help and it takes forever to get a response.

I opened the GOG Downloader and found under settings you can direct your downloads to any folder on your computer you choose. If you designate a folder for that specific purpose you will know where everything goes.

By default your web browser will download to
C:\Users\your-username\Downloads

So if you download directly with your web browser, don't use the GOG downloader, and haven't changed your default download locations, your downloads should end up in your Downloads folder. If you use the "GOG Galaxy client" you have to check the client. Apparently there's a small cog in the lower left of the client that you can click to find settings.

I presume you have actually done a straightforward search for a "Downloads" folder, deleterman ??
[I'm only asking because My "Downloads" folder was put on the D Drive of my Win7 machine when it was built.]

I don't use GOG's galaxy to download, I just use my browser, and the setup files for any GOG games I download go straight into that Downloads folder on D Drive.

It sounds like you didn't download all the files. That's why I use the GOG downloader - it automatically downloads everything to a folder in the GOG file.

If you use your browser, you will need to individually download each file. There is a way to download them all, but that's in another option that they have "hidden in my opinion" in a link called More.

What system did you use to download?
If you used an automatic system the game would have installed after downloading.
Either the GOG downloader or GOG Galaxy client might have done that.
If the game has a single installer file, it could also have done that if your web browser is configured to automatically "Run" files as soon as they are downloaded.

If you chose "Run" instead of "Download" the installer file would go to a temporary folder and probably be deleted eventually.

The GOG downloader and GOG Galaxy would probably back up the game installer by default, though not necessarily along with the other game files.

The downloader may have an option to delete installation files after downloading. Check the options on it. Draclvr can tell you more about the downloader.

ok guys i got a response from GOG-they said-i had to download all installation files, useing galaxy ,by clicking on game then on more> get backup & extras and choosing the installer.that way you will have it inone part-downloading directy from the website means that you have to grab all four installation files ,now if you have windows 7 you can burn a dvd strait from it.or you can use a free program- www.anyburn.com /index.htm..is this good or what ?

I've used it and it is a good option. Just be very careful when you download it - since it's free, they try to load you up with all kinds of nefarious junk.

Phil from vogons.org and philscomputerlab.com uses Anyburn.
He's done a lot of Tweak Guides for GOG games at YouTube.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5T8bmLxd_T3YkOUep7KmcSMdvMZPtk5b
and guides for adapting GOG games to run on vintage computers
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5T8bmLxd_T1Op-FucLWr8CcKzUs-KLrp

For example, you see him using Anyburn around 2:50 into this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0_yGmUx3Q8&list=PL5T8bmLxd_T1Op-FucLWr8CcKzUs-KLrp&index=2

I think the junk that you have to opt out of when installing Imgburn may be one reason Phil uses Anyburn.
