Somewhere recently there was discussion of a map for Serenia. I had mapped my progress from the onset, so I had a nice little summary of how the paths worked and where the spirits were, etc.

This is embarrassingly crude, but if you view it full size, or print it out, it could help some of our explorers who like a little sense of "where am I?". duh

If anyone sees a glaring error, please feel free to post advice. Also, view it in a full page browser or else the skinny path lines disappear in some places.

Actually, Dadguy, I think it's a pretty darned good map!!! When I first clicked on the link, it was pretty small for my bad eyes, but then I went to "Print Preview" and I could enlarge it as much as I wanted. If I ever get to Serenia, I know I'll be using it... happydance

I think if you just hit the maximize button on your browser it will go to max clarity.

Is there anyway to play Revelation after you finish without starting a new game?

Dragonia,

After the ENDGAME video, you'll just get credits. So, I would just use the last save before the workshop to return to explore some more.

So then I am up the creek because I saved my game right after I finished the last puzzle. After I get out of the chair it takes me straight in to the conversation with Atrus.

Good Afternoon...

Is there any way that the puzzle with Yeesha's
memories and the five floating objects can be
reset to the beginning?
Unfortunatly I jumped the gun and messed up most
the icons [like I knew what I was doing] and my
'saved game' reflects that...I sure hope I don't
have to go way back because I did'nt 'save' as
often as I should have...SOLVER

Solver, I haven't experimented with it myself, but I have seen other posts in other forums that have said you CAN'T reset the puzzle. So, if you intend on following the ingame hints exactly, save at the beginning and then save at the halfway mark.

ALSO! (and this is a big ALSO...) save immediately after the dream ends and you are still in your chair!!! Otherwise, if you want to go back and experience the ENDGAME videos, you'll have to solve the memory puzzle again (ugh!).

Well, what the heck????
My big nemisis with this game was changing the color "fluffs" all to white. In fact, I left the game for over a week and went back in today and got it in 5 minutes. My brain needed a long rest.
Anyway, I am now doing the door at the end of the secret tunnel. Why are the two pictures I took of the medallion on Spire devoid of color? They are just gray. Was I supposed to do something with that dang medallion other than take a picture? How do you get the color combination to show up?
Drat! Drat! Drat!

Joanie, the medalion has a switch on it to open the colors. Unfortunately you will have to go back to the elevator in Spire. The elevator will still be at the top, so at least you don't have to trek down to the spider chair again.

Take a picture and write them down. Remember that when seen in the dark of the upstairs elevator location, the yellows look light-green.

Bless you, Dadguy, for being here tonight. Now that I am "back in the game" I am anxious to keep the momentum going. I was AFRAID you were going to tell me to go back to Spire.
That's o.k. Fiddling around with the puzzle so far, I find it great fun.

thanks

Joanie,

I DID tell you to go back to Spire (read again...). Sorry about that bad news; but you need those colors from the medalion.

When you get the colors, and if you get jammed, look at the FAQ doc... it has some good help.

I'll keep reading to see how you are doing. thumbsup

No, I understood you and am beyond the door and died already. I meant that before I posted my question I dreaded that the answer was going to be to go back to Spire. Really was hoping not to see that gloomy place again. That will teach me to click around new objects a little more diligently.

Thanks again.

Ha! Got it, Joanie. I read an inflection in your "I was afraid you were going to tell me to go back to Spire" completely wrong!

You died? Pulled the wrong lever, eh?

Died? Gee, maybe I should go back and see that option.

Also probably thinking if you mess with the glassed- in chamber on the ground floor of the old memory place you kill everyone with poisonous gas, but I didn't do that, either... wink

Wysewomon: I went into the poison chamber before finding Yeesha, and nothing awful happened. I didn't have anything to break the glass, like Achenar did. I haven't played the alternative endings for superstitious reasons. I don't want it ever to have happened that I fluffed the mission. rotfl

I have a question about Achenar's box in Serenia. I have found it, but I can't seem to open it and get the journal. All I get is Yeesha and the linking book falling. Do you click before you zoom out or after and where. How do I open the box.

Charward, Did Achenar tell you about the journal? If not, maybe you have to run into him before you can do that. wave

Well, it could be something else, but here's a guess: the crystals in the locks can vibrate but still not unlock. You can tell that they are actually unlocked by setting one to vibrate, then using the magnifying glass to look at it closely. The lock is only unlocked when the crystal retracts fully from the hole, and you see the circular device start rotating around the crystal (the rotation of the circular device around the crystal can only be seen in close-up view).

Now that you've seen how it looks up close, try identifying when the crystal has fully retracted in regular view -- it actually does move fully into the lock and you can see a difference. If one of the locks is vibrating, but hasn't retracted fully, I don't think that it is completely unlocked.

Does this make sense?

Thanks Becky do you think it's because when you get close they start to vibrate but don't completely unlock, It's really hard to see the little green knobs. I'll keep trying

Yes -- if you're close to the right settings, but not dead on, they can vibrate but not actually retract. And you're right it is VERY hard to see and count the green knobs. That's why, if you can see what the crystals look like when they retract, it actually helps you know when they're set correctly. At least it helped me when I did it.

I've been working on the Spirit Guide Puzzle for over a week now...and...I'm getting very frustrated. frown

I know what to do...however...when I find the "wind"...there aren't any "fluffies" withing 4 screens...and...when I find the "fluffies"...I can't find the wind within 4 screens.

Although I am physically disabled...I really don't think that is an issue for this particular puzzle. I've looked at dadguy's map of Serenia (even printed it out..!)...but...I'm still having trouble.

Can anyone make another suggestion. After one week...it just isn't fun anymore..!!!!

Thanx in advance..!!

corana -- did anyone send you a saved game yet?

Dawna -- I'm not that far in the game, but this is an excerpt from the FAQ:

I found there were three important things about this puzzle:

1. If you go more than about 4 screens, the bubble/dandelion/fire thingy will pop/fly away/disappear, so if you have to go further than that, you're going to the wrong place. There are numerous wells/etc., and there are also multiple bubble/etc. generators. Each generator is within an appropriate distance (4 screens) of ONE well/tornado/fire, but not necessarily the one you're trying to get to.

2. Once you get to the proper screen, you need to click on the spirit guide. Otherwise, your bubble/etc. will pop/etc.

3. The spirit guide is only at ONE location at a time. If you walk by it and don't have an offering, it will usually change locations. So even if you manage to reach the well/etc. before you lose your offering, the guide may not be there. It might be a good idea to check where it is before you start. You can usually tell from a distance if it's there or not.
