I first downloaded this game from Big Fish. The first few scenes played well. When I moved to a second location the game froze. The cursor could be moved around, but I couldn't click on any of the items. Thinking it was a glitch in that particular download I bought a game from a dealer on Amazon. Same thing happened in the same exact place. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a glitch? Is there a patch for this game? Thank you!

Is this in the deserted room in the cement factory?

If so, it isn't a glitch. I remember when this happened to me, I thought the whole game had frozen up and I ended up hitting control/alt/delete and rebooting the computer. I found a post online that explains this part:

Quote:
After searching the internet for others who might have encountered this, it seems that the freezing is simply impatience on my part to get into the game!

The deserted room in the cement factory is part of the tutorial - this means that the game wants the player to follow the steps -exactly- as instructed, or else you can't move on.

In this case, the instruction pointer is pointing at something and you -have- to click that thing before it can proceed to the next icon-change-instruction.

After those icons are explained, the player is then free to collect the remainder of the hidden objects.

Hope that helps others who think they're stuck!

Anyway, if this isn't where you are having the problem, please let us know.

It is in the empty room at the factory. I clicked on the icon cursor near the tutorial message, but nothing happens. I can't click on anything else-menu,etc. and I can't get out. How long does it take? I waited and waited, but still couldn't get anywhere! Help!
Hi, Marian! It's been a while since I've been on here! Thanks, as always...

Nice to see you too. smile

Just to make sure, take a look at this this video on YouTube. I believe the part where you are at starts at around 2 minutes 38 seconds. I remember that I thought the game was glitched at this point, and I want to make sure you aren't having the same problem that I was.

It really seems frozen to me. I checked the You Tube video and it worked rather quicky. He clicked on the icon, and moved on. My cursor moves around, but nothing responds. I can't get the icon to work, and I can't access the menu, the ?, or anything. Very frustrating! What to do?

Try looking at this thread and read the very last post. Does that work?

Finally got it! I had to click past the stationary cursor, and hit the object it was pointing at. Thank you for sending along the Help page, it worked! So many people had the same problem!

Excellent news! As I said before, this screen was so confusing to me that I thought the game had frozen up. When you said it had happened to you with two different downloads, I thought it just had to be the same problem.

Glad we got it sorted. smile

And what a good post to have for others to refer to since this seems to a pretty common issue.

I would be willing to place bets on the fact that Big Fish got plenty of people writing to them about this, thinking this was a technical issue, and it's possible that the problem wasn't even clearly understood by Customer Support as to it being just a weird thing that has little or nothing to do with a glitch. I wouldn't even remember this now if it hadn't happened to me, and how confused I was.
