Hi, I arrived 2 the end of the maze and saw the alchemy lab, came back 2 talk to Nigel but he's never in the library! I set the alarm clock at various times during the day but I never find him. What am I supposed 2 do?
I didn't follow the order of the walkthrough (I already saw the man in black with the red eyes in the corridor, for example)

Hi Lally. I'm not sure what to tell you to do. Did you find a statue in the hall, I think it's a knight? If you found him, did you play with his fingers?

It's strange - I already have 5 of the 6 objects needed to open the Main Hall columns, but Nigel doesn't appear. In the walkthrough, the finding of these objects is scheduled after I go in the Alchemy lab. And, it says to solve the knight puzzle I have to get clues in the Alchemy lab...
I checked again, I performed ALL the actions I had 2 go before the alchemy lab puzzle.
OK, I'll have a look at Nigel notes and try to figure it out by myself!

I got the magic wand. I have all the 6 objects, but I cannot access the aclchemy lab cuz nigel doesn't appear. Does anybody know at what time of the day he should show up?
I tried 2pm, 6 pm, 12 pm, 6 am, 12 am.
Maybe it's a bug?

Lally, did you take the typing test and get the coat of arms from Nigel?

yes! I did it. It should be done in the save I'm using - in my inventory I have a paper with a coat of arms drawn on it. I should give the hint on how to turn the gargoyle, right?

Lally, be sure that you have talked to Nigel and Ethel both about the snake. If you messed with the fingers of the knight before you took the typing test or asked about the snake, you may have to go back to a saved game.

Yep, I messed with it before I talked to them about the snake, because I couldn't see any of them! How can I meet Ethel? There is no fixed place in the manor where I can reach her...

I don't remember seeing Ethel after I asked her about the snake. You may have to go back to a save right after the typing test and talk to both about the snake. The only place I ever talked to Ethel was in the conservatory.

saw her near the door for the dragon room, out of jane's room and out of the slide passage.

Sorry Lally, brain fade on my part. I was thinking about Mrs. Drake. You're right, Ethel was not ever in the conservatory.

did you get a glowing rock while you were in the moving maze?
Have you called Hugh about all of the things that you found?
When you entered the secret passageway near Linda's room, did you peek in the peep hole?
Have you spoken to Linda about the "bells" that she hears?

Have you looked at the Mutus Liber book in Jane's room and have you asked her about the Family tree?
Have you and Jane had a disagreement?

Sorry if these are stupid questions. I am trying to think of a trigger that'll get Nigel back

I really think it's a bug at this point - something that didn't trigger. It happaned again in the game: I had 2 receive a phone call and I didn't receive because when it had 2 happen I was calling somebody myself - then i waited but nothing, and I had 2 go back 2 the saved game.

Did you go into Linda's room and notice that she enjoys the Atkins diet?
And did you ask that lady in the conservatory about her allergy pills?

I exhausted all the dialogs. Linda doesn't want 2 talk 2 me. I have the charm on her door.
Ms Drake also has nothing 2 say, the same for phone contacts and Hugh.

And yep, I saw the horrible raw meat and saw the hairy hand through the hole.
I'm a bit fed up, maybe somebody can send me a saved game b4 the alchemy lab???
Maybe somebody who has already found some of the objects...

Ehm, 4get it - I'm doing it myself. I restarted from a previous game.
I think the problem was:I scared Nigel moving the statue BEFORE discovering the alchemy lab, this means he couldn't gimme a hint on it so I could not enter.
But u said Ethel should talk about this snake too? I did not meet her.

I think the only one that you need to get the snake info from is Nigel. You are correct that you have to finish talking and doing things with Nigel before you move the statue Lally.

That's weird because I remember my daughter playing the game and the statue moving. It was a similar situation, Lally.

We couldn't find Nigel. We had other things left to do, like making sure that the pipes in the columns were draining the oil. We also checked out that hole after the "Weird Ethyl and Jane Ceremony" as well as other stuff I mentioned.

Lally, I don't think it's a problem with the game. It is just the way the game must be played in this area. If you haven't taken the typing test and talked to Nigel about everything and gotten the coat of arms before you move the statue and frighten him into leaving, you won't see him again. A lot of us made the same mistake and had to go back to a save before we touched the knights fingers.

I had tghe coat of arms and talked to him, but didn't talk to him about the snake because I still didn't get through the planets riddle.
I scared him THEN got in front of alchey door.
How could I know that I would need him again?
To me it sounds like a bug. I mean: IMHO a programmer should have put a message in the knight (something like "I don't have anough information to play with it now") to prevent u from scaring Nigel.
