Someone here had this problem a while back. The solution I offered was this, which I found online: Try turning on VSync. If that doesn't work, when Zoe is stuck in the door, go to the menu and lower the resolution to 800X600, she will be able to go through. If Damien is stuck next, revert the resolution back to what you had before and he will go through as well. I hope this will work for you, too.

What is VSync and where do I turn it on? Also, when you say "go to the menu and lower the resolution to 800X600" do you just mean my desktop screen resolution? I don't recall seeing anyplace in the game menu to change the resolution.
Thanks Marian.
Oh, and while I'm here, do you know anything about the sound? In some areas, the talk sounds like the tape recording is wearing out. In some areas all the conversations are fine.

I remember fixing a sandwich during one of those 15 minute conversation!

The quickest way to get by it if nothing else works is Ctrl Alt Del. When the task manager screen shows just click cancel and that puts you back in problem fixed. You have to do it for both Zoe and Damien.
Darrall Now that's a method I hadn't heard of before. I will remember that, too, for the future.
