I have been looking forward to playing this game as "Dishonored" was a big surprise of fun for me last year. I am cautious about buying it, though, because I'm not sure if my PC will play it. The specs are basically: AMD Fx (tm)6120 6-core Processor 3.50 GHz Installed Memory RAM 8.00 GB 64 bit Operating System, x64 based processor
Windows 10 Home I am currently almost finished with Fallout 4, which I have enjoyed despite playing with a spacy mouse. I guess I have adjusted to that condition and will probably play Fallout 4 again.
I'm not really in a position to buy a new "Gamer" PC. Thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Gameboomers! You're always right!

I have been looking forward to playing this game as "Dishonored" was a big surprise of fun for me last year. I am cautious about buying it, though, because I'm not sure if my PC will play it. The specs are basically: AMD Fx (tm)6120 6-core Processor 3.50 GHz Installed Memory RAM 8.00 GB 64 bit Operating System, x64 based processor You don't mention the video card -- which is the most important part with a 3D accelerated game. However... Windows 10 Home I am currently almost finished with Fallout 4, which I have enjoyed despite playing with a spacy mouse. I guess I have adjusted to that condition and will probably play Fallout 4 again. See changes below -- I was mistaking Dishonored for Dishonored 2 (thanks for cutting the 2 off my search, Google) http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=17043&game=Dishonored%20IIhttp://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=5013&game=Fallout%204... so I would guess it would work, though it might have the "spacey mouse" you mentioned. There could be a conflict with your video card if you don't have Nvidia or Radeon. Intel graphics aren't supported in all games. Some websites have a "can I run it" test, like the one at game-debate and this one https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/dishonored-2/13225

Thank you! I will check out the "can I run it" test. I do have Nvidia graphics card. I appreciate your help.

Does this mean if I buy the game and install it, it will play? That's supposed to be one of the things playing the demo will tell you. It's possible there are some parts of the game that are more demanding than the demo. Does this mean I have to buy it through a Steam download? Unless you can find it sold someplace else. Oddly enough, the longer I played Fallout 4, the better it ran. If you got it through Steam, it's possible that Steam may have silently patched it without your knowing.

Ive only tried the demo as well. Theres is supposed to be parts of the game that are more demanding - one of the reasons I wouldnt pay full price for the game. There is supposed to be another Steam sale in a few weeks so I'd hang on to see what the price is there. Or somewhere like GreenMan have sales. Much easier to take a risk on a game when it's a tenner rather than 40 or 50 quid.
One thing I will say about D2 is that the textures and gfx in general look really poor for a modern game, even on the higher settings, which makes you wander why it is so resource heavy. The engine they used must be really poorly optimised.

More good advice. I will finish the demo and wait for a better price. I looked at used copies but they didn't have the activation code.In the meantime, I will get to the Fallout 4 finish line. Thank you all!
