I saw it oldbroad, thanks! I picked it up and tested it out for a few minutes today. The mouse interface is working pretty well so far.

Has Steam monopolized the Adventure Game venue?

Currently it is only available through Steam. Steam has not monopolized the adventure game venue, it is where developers choose to go because they make the most there and get paid timely. Not to mention the fact that many smaller portals do not accept many adventures because they have a smaller draw.

Please do not turn this thread into an anti-steam thread. We have plenty of these discussions and they are exhausting.

As long as they continue to make money on it through Steam, they have no reason to sell through other venues. I don't expect it to be released anywhere other than Steam any time soon -- maybe in a few years.

If you want to know the Syberia 3 story, check out a YouTube playthrough.

Be aware that Syberia 3 ends on a cliffhanger, worse than either of the previous Syberia games. So if that bothers you, you might want to wait anyway.

As far as I know, they're still using Denuvo DRM on it, which would make it inappropriate for any DRM-free download store. Google Denuvo to see why people hate it.

Hi Jenny - yep I am familiar with Denuvo - I didn't mean for this to be a STEAM BASH :>) But using STEAM on any of my PCs is a non-starter. So - I wait then !

It's point and click now, yes. It seems to be the default. It's not always easy to maneuver Kate around, but I'm sure it's a lot easier than it was before the controls were updated.

Thanks so much for posting the "special" for Syberia 3, downloaded it the other day but have only really played it for a very short time. Quite enjoying it so far and to me anyway, the mouse controls appear to be fine - thank goodness! So, I do hope others are enjoying it as well!

The publisher said there's going to be a DRM-free version but don't know when yet.

Thanks, fireflower. Microids/Anuman is very slow if at all to do that, so I'd be amazed if it was within a year or so.

It ended as a cliffhanger so I would think it's open to another game.
