I don't have any saved games for Grim Fandango Remastered. Maybe someone else will be able to help. I did find this thread on Steam here. I haven't read through the whole thing, but maybe it will lead you to some useful information.

Let me check and see what I have for saves and if I can find one for this part. Nope, sorry I don't have a save for that part.
In the meantime, I did find this on the Steam forums: "My game crashes when Chipeto gets stuck on the rock. I tried to play with The Squig's save file, but it still crashes. Can anybody share a savefile starting right after that moment with Chipeto ?
EDIT : Actually it works now after I deactivated vsync. That's weird."
And someone else had luck getting past this point when they opened the game in XP compatibility mode. I was going to post a link to this thread, but I see Marian has beat me to it!

In the GOG forum, there was a thread about this problem and someone said that the crash no longer occurs with the patched version 1.2.2 of the game. Where did you buy the game, and is it the most current version? Someone else said that this worked as a fix for them: This was happening to me as well. I did two things to work around this. Not sure if it was one or both things that fixed it for me. First I lowered the game settings turning off advanced lighting and changing from Remastered to Original. The game still crashed after the "going to the moon" dialogue. I then went into the shortcut properties and checked the Compatibility box and set as Windows XP Service Pack 3. Restarted game and I was able to play through and see the cinematic.

I found out I have a save from just before when Manny and Glottis leave Rubacava. When I get some time, I will try to play to the spot you need and get you a save. Maybe tomorrow or Friday. I have several 5-gallon buckets of tomatoes calling my name right now! Canning spicy bloody Mary mix and marinara today...
