I'm at the stage of trying to subdue the Ore Titan at the reactor on Taranis.

Apparently I'm supposed to pick up shackles and throw them at the Titan.

Well I can pick one up alright but when I try to throw it (using the Right Mouse Button - as I have read in walkthroughs) it doesn't leave my hand !!
And using the Left Mouse Button just causes me to drop it.



I've watched this done on UTUBE a dozen times at least and the character there doesn't seem to have any problems.

Can anyone offer any help, please ??

See if something in this thread is of help. There's one post in there where someone figured out how to actually "throw" in this situation.

I did find that myself so maybe I'm just not interpreting it correctly ??

I have tried "holding" the left button whilst "clicking" the right button to make a throw as well (in case that's what it suggests) but that hasn't work for me either. Unless I'm somehow not doing it properly of course - which is entirely possible !!

I'll try and have another go soon but I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be back .... still needing help

You were closer than you think. From what I've read on the Steam forum, you need to hold the left mouse button to aim and use the right mouse button to "throw". The thing is you have to time the move when creatures hand is glowing/flashing, indicating you are close enough to engage the shackle. It seems to be a literal hit or miss kind of engagement. Some folks got is right off and some had to do it repeatedly until they hit it right, so you're not alone

Well, Trail_Mystic, I do love this game but I've spent another fruitless hour today trying to throw these (blip) shackles !!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I'm getting very close to giving up. It's so pointless to keep going over the same fight again and again AND again and never make any headway

I had to quit the game last time because I couldn't win the sea monster fights.

[I played the quests in a different order that time and had my first sea monster encounter before this fight.]

So maybe it's just "my destiny" never to reach the end

I've spent WAY TOO MANY hours now trying to beat this Titan, and failing miserably, so if I don't beat it in tonight's session I will have to give up on the game.
[I am sure the Titan has to be beaten for the game to continue.]

Which means I could well be going back to my Diamond Edition of Neverwinter Nights very soon !!

But being fully aware that I'm not a fantastic RPG-er, I'm happy most of the time with what I DO manage to achieve

I never finished this game because I really did not want to play the last sea battle! But I killed that Titan and don't remember having problems but I am sure it took a lot of patience and time to succeed: I am rather slow on the keyboard. I found those saves,and tried again, 3 times and what a disaster! I managed to hit one hand rather quickly twice,(twas a miracle) but the 3rd time, never!! I see it flash but I throw always too late or anywhere but the right spot. This is so frustrating. If I was playing that game again,I would surely dump it right there.
The first Risen I never finished too, could not do that last boss battle, can still remember seeing that floor disappearing under my mage: a nightmare!!!!! Mad, I understand and sympathize!!!

I finished Risen(s) 1 & 2 - although God Mode was heavily involved But unfortunately God Mode doesn't help with my problem in Risen 3

I'm sure we've all been there Mad. I've got a few games in the wings that I couldn't make it through, because I just couldn't get the timing right or something about a puzzle segment alluded me. Just gives me an excuse to walk around complaining and get a drink, my two second favorite hobbies.

Well, I do have all three "Witcher" games in my collection but have only ever played the first one. [Although I have played it twice.] So I was considering an attempt at Witcher 2

But now I've got Risen 2 working (see the Glitches Board) I'm very tempted to do a re-play of that because I really LIKE it
