I've played this game before, but am having trouble early on. Sophie has taken the glasses from the bar, the tongs, and everything else available. She's listened in on all of the doors, had the episode with Michel and returned to her car with her companion, but after the conversation nothing happens. She just stands there, and Greta is sitting on the bed. No cry in the night, no avalanche, no Poirot falling out of bed. What am I missing? Help, please!

Hi, it would be pretty much impossible for me to know what you might have missed leading up to this point. Let's wait for another player who is well acquainted with the game.

You could also watch a video walkthrough, which starts here.

Good luck. smile

Thank you, Marian. I'll go back over via the video, and hopefully catch what I missed.

I hope it helps. If not, maybe someone else will be able to lend a hand.

The three walkthroughs here at Gameboomers are all very good.

Have you not found help in any of them, gillan ??

[It's difficult to know what particular thing you might have missed.]

Gillann, when you took the tongs, did you take all of the glasses the game allows, the tape and napkins? with Michel did you follow him to the baggage car?

I've been having trouble advancing in this game, and checking the WT, I haven't seen the Calais Coach manifest scrapbook. Does anyone know where it's located? Trying to find out what I've missed. Thank you!

The walkthrough says this:

Quote:
Click-drag an item and place it over the magnifying glass icon: a description of the item is given. This gives additional clues to the gameplay. Also, when book, letters and newspaper clippings are examined this way, the information is stored in the scrapbook. The scrapbook button accesses the document information gathered.

It sounds like you need to access the document information via the scrapbook button in order to view the Calais Manifest.

Thanks, everyone. I found the Calais manifest and realized I'd missed eavesdropping on the first car. Voila! Finally, and gone on!

Hi gillann,
I just started to re-play this game. I still have the original boxed version and it's working perfectly on my Win 10 64 bit PC. I'm enjoying it more this time because of all the great walkthroughs out there. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.HAPPY GAMING!
Sandy
