Is there a good address book for the computer out there? My hard copy book has been changed so many times I can hardly read it anymore. I think the software should:
1.Be in alphabetical order.
2.Space for name and address.
3.Have space for 2 phone numbers.
4.Space for email address.
5.Be easy to transfer all data to a new computer.
6.Perhaps have space for extra info like Main Cross roads or This is Toms niece etc.

Geo,

Normally your email software provides an address book with the features you have listed. If not, you could always set up a spread sheet or document file formatted as you want.

Heck, even programs like Windows Explorer will permit you to alphabetize folder contents. So, each text file could be titled with the person's name with the contents the other details.

Robert

Thanks for the response Robert but (no offense) I don't think those ideas are what I want.
1). I don't think email program will work because I have 2 different email programs on 2 different computers and I don't think they are compatible. Who knows what I will have next week.
2). I don't like the idea of folders all over the place.I want a confined program where I can have a desktop icon and bring everything up in one shot and one place.

You can usually export email addresses from an email client of program in the format of ".csv" or comma separated values. These are usually put into a spreadsheet for you. Check your email programs and see if they have an "export" option.

Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!
