Hi
I have read nothing but good things about this, and it might make me buy a console. Am interested in your game impressions for those who get to play it.
Looking forward to them

My son is playing it right now and he loves it.

I thought this review of the game was particularly noteworthy (and this without giving it an actual score).

For those of you reading this who aren't sure of what game we are discussing, it's Red Dead Redemption 2.

Thanks Marian for clarifying the game - I should have spelt it out.
On the basis of that extensive review I feel compelled to be able to play it smile

The reviews do make a good case. I certainly wouldn't fault you for buying a console to play a game. My intro to xbox was solely due to Halo 3, but eventually came across a number of console exclusive games to enjoy. Red Dead 2 seems like it will have a great deal of gameplay time and replay-ability. Plus with the holidays coming up I bet you'll come across sales on game consoles no problem. I've got too many irons in the fire now to jump full bore into another game, but I'm sure this one will eventually grace my library. grin

Here's the game site at Rockstar for anyone that's interested: Red Dead Redemption 2

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here

The few people I have seen who have anything negative to say about the game seem to be generally those who fall into the "how fast can I beat the game" mindset. This is a game for those who aren't in a hurry and enjoy exploring a vast open game world.

I was wondering what the abbreviation was for! This one might go on my list, but first I need to get and then have enough time to play Vampire.

If you're not used to using a controller do NOT buy the console.
This game is so BAD stearing your outlaw around.
Can't tell how many times I've seen people ride/run into trees etc. to fall or worse die, lol.
Besides - from what I've seen so far...no it's not really worth it.

My son finds the controls with this game very comfortable and has no problem moving his player character around.

I'm glad to hear my brain wasn't the only one that glitched on R2D2 for a few seconds!!

Thanks for all that. It has been a while since I used a gamepad but would hopefully settle back in. I will look a bit more into other comments about movement though so thanks for that misslilo. And I note what your son says Marian.
And who knows L4L - by all accounts you could find just about anyone in the game world if you travel far enough
