I really prefer to play Adventure games in the 3rd Person (1st person either leaves me feeling a bit seasick or rather lonely), but it is not always easy to find out which ones are which.

I have already played (and loved) TLJ, Syberia, and Broken Sword I-III, and have just ordered Journey to the Centre of the Earth.

Any other suggestions? (Not too old as I'm running XP).

I'm not too keen on very gloomy games - prefer lush, colourful backdrops.

Hi murraymint11!
Cameron Files 1 and 2 are my favorites, especially if you already played Syberia 1 and 2!
Just a suggestion!

I wish the Nancy Drew games were 3rd person adventure games. After playing them all ya kind feel like you know her... except what she looks like!
Oh well. I still LOVE those games no matter what!!

I'm surprised that my son likes the Nancy Drew games
too. He's a bit of a Jr. Sleuth!
It will be really neat if the Hardy Boys come out with their own PC games. I Know he would love those.
So would I! Especially ifthey play the same way as the Nancy Drews do. Lots to look forward to! smile

Murraymint,
I enjoyed The Dig and The Feeble Files, but I don't know if they run on XP.

Try Nightlong,union city conspiracy.
I think this game is often over looked by new players. This [in my opinion] is a great game....

Yes, Nightlong is a game worth playing for sure. I just replayed Noctropolis and City of the Lost Children a few weeks back, I really enjoyed those as well.

There are quite a number of good ones out there - Rex Nebular, Kyrandia, Dark Seed, Blade Runner etc...

You're so right, ron.etti, and I wonder why that is. Maybe the box art makes people think it is an action game. I really enjoyed it too.

Murraymint11, welcome to Gameboomers! Have you played The Neverhood, Crystal Skull, Grim Fandango and the Discworld games?
For brand new, I really enjoyed The Moment of Silence, as I prefer third person games myself.
