Thanks for the list, Marian. I checked it against mine and I see I missed two of the games ( Match Girl and Swan Princess). The series is good, but gets repetitive, so I try to put some time in between each game. But now I know I have two games to look for when the next sale hits.

I'll play maybe three of them, and then I'll want to play something else. Some of them are better than others. Exactly. The stand-outs for me were the stories about Rapunzel, Briar Rose, Cinderella and the Little Mermaid (titles abbreviated). Which ones did you like?

It's been a long time since I played some of them, but I remember I liked Briar Rose, Snow Queen, Little Mermaid, and Forgotten Shadow. I just finished a replay of Forgotten Shadow. For some reason it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered. I was remembering a lot more to the story, and I don't know where that came from. I wonder if I had a dream about the game at some point and was confusing the dream with the actual game. I still liked Briar Rose, Snow Queen, Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and some of the others on a replay. Forgotten Shadow almost seemed like it was from a different series. I don't think it was based on any fairy tale, not that that matters a huge deal. The FrOG scenes were really difficult and I had a lot of trouble seeing fragments -- even after cheating to have them pointed out. I didn't have this trouble with the FrOG scenes in Cinderella, Snow Queen, Swan Princess, or other earlier games in the series. The developers seem to think everyone has a huge monitor, but some of us like to play these games on laptops for portability. So this means #11 Swan Princess is the most recent one I'd put "near the top of the list" (as opposed to being meh about). None of the Dark Parables that I've played are bad games, but some are definitely more enjoyable than others.

Jenny, I found this on a Dark Parables Wiki: Requiem for the Forgotten Shadow is the thirteenth installment in the Dark Parables franchise. The game takes place in the fictional town of Anaben at the foot of the Swiss Alps. As the Fairytale Detective, we are sent to investigate a mysterious illness that is turning the people of Anaben into shadows of their former selves.
This game is (rather loosely) based on Hans Christian Andersen's The Shadow (Skyggen).

That's interesting, Jenny. It's been a while since I played the game. Maybe it's time to revisit it. It's certainly interesting to replay these games. Sometimes my opinion of a game changes since the time when I last played it. Be sure to post if you decide to replay it. I'd be interested to know what you think of it.

Marian: I thought I read that Blue Tea is now under the Eipix umbrella.

Marian: I thought I read that Blue Tea is now under the Eipix umbrella. If you look here it explains the ins and outs of Eipix/Blue Tea's relative involvement. For a while Eipix took over the series in both production and development, but according to this article, games #14 and #15 were again developed by Blue Tea with Eipix still being the producer.
