I'm having a problem with the shortcut for this game, my computer keeps saying that it can't find this shortcut, that it has been moved?? This is the second time this has happened with the game. The first time I uninstalled the game and then reinstalled the game and used the shortcut it worked just fine and then today ( shortcut has been moved) I'm not sure what is happening here. Can anyone five me a handle with this.

Marie, thanks

Hi Marie, since this is a technical question, I have moved your post over to Glitches. wave

Sounds to me (from personal experience with Norton) that it might be your antivirus protection removing it?

I didn't have a problem with this game's shortcut but I did have to tell Norton the game was okay. Norton has, however, messed with other game shortcuts.

I don't think that Norton has anything to do with it. Anti virus programs can do the weirdest things, but I've never heard that a shortcut to a Carol game has been fiddled with. It sounds like you've moved the game directory to a new location on your hard drive, but I take it that that is not the case. Maybe you've installed the game on a hard drive that you don't have connected at the moment? Or maybe there is something wrong with the hard drive that you installed the game to? Make sure that the hard drive works and is connected by going to "This Computer" (or "This PC" if you're using Windows 10) and see if it's listed there.

If your hard drive's letter is C, the file that starts the game is located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Fall of April - SD version\The Fall of April - SD.exe" (or it's "SD" for "HD" if you've installed the HD version). You can start the game by double clicking this file, and also use it to make a new shortcut.

If you're still having problems, right click on the shortcut and choose "Properties". What does it say in the field "Target"? It should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Fall of April - SD version\The Fall of April - SD.exe". You can copy this text and post it here, and we might be able to get a hint about what's gone wrong.

Hi Mikael, Target: Fall of April - SD version\The Fall of April SD.exe, this is what it said when I clicked on Properties. The game installed on C:\Program Files(x86)The Fall of April - SD version.

Marie, right under the target there is a Start In: what does it say there.... that is where it should show C\Program Files\\The Fall of April-

Can you find the program file "The Fall of April - SD" in "C:\Program Files(x86)The Fall of April - SD version"?

H Mikael, I did another reinstall and the program seems to be working anyway for the time being. Hard to know exactly what happened.

Thanks you for you help Mikael. I haven't had any problems with your games in the past and I have enjoyed playing them.

Marie
