Hi everyone

I have a fairly old version of the above game With Kate Walker my question is
When she helped the old gentleman get to see the large tusk animal she does
Get to her destination but did they ever produce a sequel to this adventure
Or did she end up stranded there.

All help appreciated

It was a good game.

At the end of Syberia 1, Kate opts to help Hans and leaves for Syberia with him.
At the end of Syberia 2, she and Hans reach Syberia and he rides away on the mammoth. Kate is stranded.
Syberia 3 starts with the Youkol rescuing Kate.

Hi Jenny

Thank you for your quick reply I believe I look at syberia 3 on you tube and saw a segment of it
And you are right it showed
Youkol rescuing Kate
but I didn't watch the whole segment
do you know if they have it on disk now or do you have to down load the full game.
Will look for your reply.

Thank You

Bluto

You will see the game being sold in a box, but all the box does is give you a Steam key for downloading the game from Steam, so don't be fooled by that.

It is available for download from both GOG and Steam. Please be aware that Syberia 3 is not pure point and click like the first two games and a lot of players here were unhappy with the game for this reason.

As far as I know there was never a version on disc.
What was sold as a "physical" version at the time of the game's release was actually a Steam installer on disc and the game still had to be downloaded -- the game itself was not on the disc.
The game was not really finished at the time of release. It wasn't until a few weeks later that they patched it to fix bugs and use the mouse, so even if they had put a game on the disc you'd have still had to download pretty much the whole thing in a large patch.

You're better off buying from somewhere like GOG, where you can at least burn the installation files to DVD.

In case you're wondering, Syberia 3 ends on a worse cliffhanger than either of the first two Syberias. It certainly doesn't end the story and as far as I know a Syberia 4 is still planned.

In my opinion, the game did not end any worse than the first two games. It was the same type of ending. I enjoyed the game for the most part and I hope they do make a Syberia 4.

Try to wait for a sale if you want to buy it.

Hi Marian

Just a short note to ask if you know if they came out with an addition to Culpa Innata
I played the first one through and it left you wondering what happened to her after her
Boss sent her to the other place to continue the Investigating of the fellow who had
The large collection of guns.
Before that her superior was told by higher ups to stop the investigation
Do you know if a sequel was ever made?
It was a good game.

Thank You
Bluto

That's really a shame, too, as I think the sequel is when we would have gotten into the really interesting part of the story. What was going on behind the scenes in the World Union and what it was like to live in the Rogue States. I'm glad we at least got the first game, as it was great, but I feel that we needed at least one sequel to get the complete story. frown

Bluto and Jenny, there is a point and click option for Syberia 3 now. It seems to work pretty well, but I've only tested it out a bit so far. It may or may not work well throughout the entire game, but just so you know, there is an option to play it that way. I agree with Jenny (I watched a full playthrough a while back before I had the game) that the cliffhanger is much worse than the cliffhanger(s) in either of the previous two Syberias. I didn't even consider Syberia 2's ending a cliffhanger, just an ambiguous "so what now?" type of ending. I thought the series could have ended there, and while I liked Syberia 3 well enough, I don't think it's as good as the other two.

Hi venus, Bluto here

I totally agree with you the game was left hanging and as Brown Eyed Tigre noted I wonder why the
Game was never released I to would be curious to know.
I am probably going to download Syberia 3 and try it to see if it is as good as the others

Usually a planned sequel is not released due to lack of money for making the game.

He wrote a great novel called Culpa Innata (we did a signed giveaway here) and said in 2013 he would at some point write another novel to complete it. He has disappeared from the radar the last couple years.

Bluto, I know, it's really a shame. The developers didn't receive the money they were owed, so the planned sequel was never made. frown My friend, Thorsgoats, won a copy of the book in the giveaway Ana mentioned. I read part of it myself but never finished it. Which reminds me, I'll have to borrow it again so I can get back to it sometime. yes From what I remember, it was essentially the same story told in the game but with some additional characters and scenes.

Hope you enjoy Syberia 3 when you get to it. thumbsup
