Feeling like another replay of Might & Magic X - Legacy, I reinstalled my Steam version and redownloaded the good trainer/editor I've always used from CheatHappens, but, when I went to open the trainer, I got the "How do you want to open this file?" popup and it was calling it a TMP file. Now, I don't even get that cuz, trying this with several downloads of it, I made the stupid mistake (it was late and I was tired--of course, that's how they getcha) of selecting my EdgeDeflector to try to open it and the "Always use" box was checked, so, for starters, I should probably get a free 3rd party app that works with Win 10 to remove that stupid file association, don't you think? The only thing I've found is, on page 20 of the trainer topic of the message board on this trainer's CH page, a user describes an issue that sounds like mine, saying, after he resolved it, that it was caused by a Windows security update he had installed, but, even if I could confirm and identify the conflicting update, I wouldn't really want to uninstall it, nor would I be up for keeping it uninstalled. And I don't wanna try playing the game straight, cuz it's too much fun having a beefed-up party of mages and plenty of money for spellbooks.

There's a tool for removing a Windows 10 file association here
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/file-association-fixer-2-windows-10-8-7

You can set all file associations back to default using Windows by doing this

Settings, System, Default Apps, scroll to Reset. Or you can reset app by app.
