One is a gangly blue cat who’s also a former child star. The other is a spectral chicken that only they can see. Chook & Sosig are the creations of New Zealand-based TookiPalooki, an artist turned solo indie developer who has taught herself to make games using the eccentric duo and the surreal world they live in as her canvas. Chook & Sosig have already gained fans through a series of short original freeware games available on
itch.io here, and now they’re ready for their biggest adventure yet.
Launching June 17th for PC and Mac on Steam, GOG, and itch.io, Chook & Sosig: Walk the Plank is an entirely hand-drawn and animated, cozy and comedic, point-and-click adventure about treasure, friends, and really angry parrots.
In Chook & Sosig: Walk the Plank, players control the titular blue cat Sosig as they join their friends for an evening of tabletop fun, DM’ed by the long-suffering Exley. It’s Sosig’s first time playing, and they’ll need more than just a little help from Chook if they want to navigate the weird waters in the pirated-themed adventure they set out on.
Bouncing from tableside to the world of Exley’s game, players will solve puzzles, explore a series of scattered islands, and contend with the egos, aspirations, and chaotic whims of their friends. It’s a lively cartoon world with two different endings to unlock, and places an emphasis on humor and light-hearted shenanigens.
Chook & Sosig: Walk the Plank is TookiPalooki’s first full-length premium adventure, and Armor Games Studios is proud to have been part of her journey.
