Is there a way to make it so you need a Password to access your external hard drive? I don't mean the whole computer at start-up, but a specific external hard drive.
Edit: Google says Bitlocker is only available on Windows Pro.

See if Method 2 in this link works. And yes, Bitlocker is only available on Pro.

It is more elaborate than I thought. How long will the process take? If you want to access the drive after this procedure is done, I am not sure exactly how you would do that. Does a box pop up somehow asking for a password?

I know nothing about it, Geo! It's just a link I found describing how to do it. From what I understand, you will need third party software of some sort to do it if you don't have Windows 10 Pro. Try searching for "password protect exterior hard drive Windows 10" and see what else you can find.

Oh ok, I thought you had used it before.
