I've been out of town on a work assignment for a few weeks, and just got back in time to see the ending activities of the annual EAA AirVenture. That's the big "Fly-In" every year that makes the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, the busiest airport in the world for 1 week. Last year they had over 600,000 people attending! Anyway, here's a link to their streaming site, most times it's just views of the ground and airstrip, but can be fun to watch when the air shows are going on. This Friday's show starts at 2:30pm CT and goes to 6:00pm, same thing for Saturday. We're just a hop, skip and jump from the city so, get to see a lot of the planes coming in and doing their turn-arounds during the show. It's pretty impressive when the fighters and big bombers fly-over! https://www.eaa.org/airventure/eaa-airventure-news-and-multimedia/eaa-airventure-webcams/air-showI'm heading out of town again Sunday, Gah! Might be back the end of next week.

Hey Marian, Here's one of the actual live streams from the grounds there's actually a few of them. The other one I posted was archived from the shows earlier in the week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-PGb9zqa34It's kind of cool because they pipe in the chatter from the Control Tower. Just boggles me how many planes they deal with in a day. TM

My late husband was an airplane buff and pilot, Trail, and would have enjoyed those videos. Between trips with him to the old Garver facility in Wash., DC (the Air & Space Museum's attic) and visiting Duxford and Hendon in England, I have had lots of exposure to flying machines, including a lovely ride in a restored Dragon Rapide and twice in a hot air balloon. (Our trip photo albums have more photos of planes than anything else.) Also, years ago my cousin used to fly the air show circuit in her Pitt Special and later with the Carling jet team. I never wanted to be a pilot, but I do love to fly.
