I'm stuck in Day 7, near the end of the game it would seem. I can't find a text or video walkthrough so I'm hoping someone can help.
I'm in the tomb room of the mine (many coffins, including Lilith's). I have many inventory items including an emerald, unrolled parchment scroll, metal pointed object, none of which can be combined or work in the scene. I can't pry loose the blue sapphire gemstone and I'm unable to budge the slab of stone. What I can do is access the door to exit to Haven, but wandered to the church, pier, house etc. and am not allowed entry.
What am I missing?

I see a video on YouTube, but I guess it's not complete?

I wish I could help you, but I can't find any written walkthroughs for the game and I am not familiar with the game either. Did you purchase the game from Steam? If so, another player might be able to help you out there.

Otherwise, maybe someone here will see this who has played the game and can offer some advice.

Hi.

I played this game when it was first released and vaguely remember the part where you are stuck as I'm pretty sure I also got stuck there for some time.

However I can't remember what I did to get myself un-stuck !!
[And sadly, I never found a full walkthrough anywhere, either. Not even on YouTube.]

I do remember that within some locations I had to go everywhere and check out everything many times in order to find some small thing I had missed - before I made new progress - especially finding paths to areas I had previously not discovered.

I wish you Good Luck as I do feel the game is worth the effort wave

Thanks Marian, but unfortunately the Steam forums don't provide any help at my stuck point. I have also noticed that the feedback from the developer to other issues are somewhat evasive, not directional as I need at this point.

Hi, Mad. Having played this game, I' m sure you'll agree that there are more times than not of wandering aimlessly to find one's way. A map feature would prove to make the game a little more satisfying in one respect.
I will give this a little more time and again back track for that maybe missing item or well hidden path, or in all probability just stumble upon it by happenstance.

Thank you, both for trying to help.

Oh, yes. The game could stand improvement in quite a few areas - but I did still enjoy playing it.

The lack of a decent walkthrough is a real shame, though.
Being able to get small nudge at times would have been so appreciated yes

I couldn't agree with you more, Mad. I've enjoyed the challenges in this game, but reaching this impasse is very frustrating. mad

I've re-explored many a times, but still no eureka moment. There is a YouTube video ending of this game, unfortunately it starts past my stuck point. If only I could rewind it a couple more minutes. For now, watching this is my only consolation.

I'm SO sorry that I can't remember how I specifically got through this part. But I do know I spent ages re-exploring every darn section over and over rolleyes

Is there any way to contact the developer? If I was in this situation, that is what I would try to do. I would think they would be more than willing to help out.

Mad - didn't you contact the developer Zack (GameBoomers member)?

Yes I did - at the time I purchased the game - oldbroad, because I inadvertently paid for it twice and had to request a refund redface

And I've emailed him THIS week, asking if a walkthrough is yet available, but I've not received a reply of any sort.

Oh, I thought you contacted him at some point when you were stuck also. Hopefully he will respond to you. I still haven't played the game.

Maybe I did, oldbroad, but I have a head like a sieve at times and honestly can't remember.
It was too long ago.
Sometimes I can't remember what I was doing days ago, never mind weeks !! woozy

I found the old thread where Mad emailed the developer here. He apparently replied pretty quickly.

Oldbroad, your reference to Zack being a GB member, has resulted in the contact info that I could not find elsewhere. I will reach out to him pronto. I am excited and extremely hopeful . happydance I will keep you all posted.

A very quick response from Zack. smile After submitting a screenshot of my inventory, he determined "some logic got messed up during a save/load." A glitch that should not have happened and he's checking for a solution . In all likelihood it will be a save game file from day 5 (I'm now in day 7), which I don't have. He's on the case and I'm grateful for that and all of your help.

That is great news, michele. Well, the glitch is not great news, but the fact that you are getting help sure is. It wasn't even a hint that you needed after all! smile

So glad you're getting help and that it's not just something you were missing, though a glitch is not good. Hopefully, you'll be moving along again soon!

It turns out that the problem is a rare save/load issue in Day 6 of the game that "I discovered". Zack even thanked me for the find...lucky me - right? He is going to be patching the game in a few days. In the meantime the save game he sent me to bypass the problem worked like a charm. joy
