The game will have main quests and many side quests that players can solve but it is not required to solve them to progress in the game. Solving or not solving side quests will change the course of a game or how other characters will react to the player. In a demo, players can make a hangover potion, but it is not necessary to make it, to finish the demo. Later in a game player will meet a character who will react differently depending on that side quest.
Also, some puzzles could be solved in different ways, good, bad or some other way, and that will also influence the game.
Player will recruit and lead a group of characters with different skills. These characters will have personal quests that players could help them with or not. And that will change the dynamic between characters.
Those are the elements I saw mostly in RPGs and I liked them.
There will be no fighting, no leveling, no skills checking, and no dice rolling. Just good old adventure puzzles.
So I think it is better if it stays among adventure games.
