This will probably be deleted - but PETITION TO, AT LEAST REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF TM GAMES:

I have no dea what the statistic might be saying - but I imagine revenue will be ruling the roost ??
Whichever genre brings in the most revenue is likely to be the genre that's most offered ....

Believe it or not, there are lots of Time Management and other genres fans happy with the offerings at BF. Just like other areas of life, the biggest voices are those that aren't happy about something and the happy ones are silent. If you feel strongly contact them and let your voices be heard. It is no longer run and owned by Paul who was a member here and actually read your feedback. The huge corporation that now owns BF is not here reading this so these complaints will not be heard. Here is my advice, if you want to be heard, start a social media campaign. Go to Twitter and Facebook and create a page or group with a hashtag to draw attention and tag them in it. If there are people that agree with you, they will join in. It isn't impossible to do. Ana

Thank you. However, I am in the minority and don't like social media. I like my private life kept that way. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my post. And, it is good advice!

Well, after today, I think I'm switching to GOG. I strongly suggest Paul should read GB, as I feel if this "trend" continues. BF is going down with a thud!

Marian: Sorry about my misreading about Paul - as usual, I got it backwards! My disappointment stems from (I guess) my limited tastes. I prefer adventure games, with or w/o HOGS, modern scary games, funny games. I could list what I don't like - but... Love detective games. I've tried others - board and word games, but I think a person could get those anywhere. Thanks for your time!

Laurette, BigFish is not going to go down with a thud. They have a lot more going on than the daily offerings of downloads. Here is an overview of the revenue for just the mobile side for January 2020 only and you can see what is their biggest sellers. Most money is set to be made with Free to play mobile apps hands down! Check out the list here.

And additionally, HOPAs cost more to make than time management games. They probably do. HOPA's would require more art, where time management would be able to reuse the same art in different chapters. How much these games make after they are ported to mobile would also factor into the equation. That's not good for either HOPA's or adventure games. A small screen is not favorable to either Hidden objects or adventure game inventory. Yes I know they have that workaround with the in-game magnifying glass, but in my opinion it's not fun to play like that. My disappointment stems from (I guess) my limited tastes. I prefer adventure games, with or w/o HOGS, modern scary games, funny games. I could list what I don't like - but... Love detective games. I've tried others - board and word games, but I think a person could get those anywhere. You can try writing to Big Fish and telling them you're not finding the type of games you want, and asking them whether they're planning to put out more HOPA's soon. If you're not finding the games you want there, then by all means look elsewhere or replay your old games instead of buying new ones.

Jenny, I agree that I would not want to play HOPAs on a small screen, but apparently there is an audience out there for mobile versions as they continue to port them to mobile (and as the list Ana posted demonstrates). I remember watching a video on YouTube with Paul Thelen, who was standing in front of a chart that was showing how much money a certain earlier Dark Parables game had made. When it was ported to mobile, it made twice to three times the amount of money that the PC version had made. That presentation stayed with me when thinking about the future of casual games and from where the big money in many instances was going to be generated. Years ago I purchased many games from Big Fish that were from Playrix; they did the Royal Envoy series for PC and some match-3 games like Gardenscapes and the Fishdom games, among others. Subsequently they switched to mobile games only and now here is where they stand in the marketplace: Playrix annual revenuePlayrix recently bought Eipix; I posted about this a while back. Eipix will not be making any more HOPAs. I had no idea how big Playrix had become until that acquisition occurred and I read about their company now.

Well Laurette I am like you, not much on social media stuff and NOT very good at writing, so just a few days ago I Cancelled my Membership with BF. I to am sad with the changes at BF and their game selections, not to say I will not continue to buy the odd game on NON membership sales, but the purchases will be a lot less than in the past years.
On the Positive side, BF still has Excellent customer support when it comes to refunds of buggy games and when I quit my Membership I did not get a song and dance routine, it was Quick and Easy, so kudos for BF for at least keeping these things intact, at least, for now and I hope this part never changes.

I read elsewhere that the next installment in the Lost Lands series is coming soon - I am really looking forward to that. Wow, thanks for the heads up on that, Marian! I love that series, too. Will watch for it.

I must admit I am very disappointed with BF.
I'm not a member but buy when the sale price is right.
I love their "Catch of the Week" deal and buy it every week as long as it's not a TM game, but today it was Mystery Trackers: Paxton Creek Avengers, the same game that was the "Catch of the Week" less than a month ago( Feb. 10th 2020).
Because of the sale prices not being as good as they used to be I'm just not buying as many games as normal for me.
Goodness at this rate I'll have to start doing housework or something!!!!
