The dialogue including the theme song "The Rope and the Colt" is English.

Will Rogers (not that one) and his murderous sons lynch Ben Caine, kill his brother's lifestock and burn down their ranch. Because Ben's brothers Thomas and Larry are cowardly they spend the entire movie wanting to head to Mexico, Ben's widow turns to her a past lover, Manual Lemoine, for revenge. He initially refuses but of course he changes his mind. Manual is an ex-gunfighter who always puts a black glove on one hand just before he kills. Why is revealed at the end.

Manual gets himself hired as ranch forman by the Rogers after he kills three men who are attempting to kill one of the sons. But then he kidnaps Diana Rogers. the only daughter and takes her to Maria Caine. Things go bad from there without most of the cast dead by the end.

Often called a spaghetti western that's not accurate since its producers, director and lead actors are French. Somebody reviewing it on Amazon called it an "escargot western". Those involved were fans of Sergio Leone's westerns however and dedicated the movie to him. He actually directed the scene where the Rogers, their ranc hands and Manual are all having dinner.

Slow by modern standards it does feel like a spaghetti western so if you them you'll like it. Just don't expect a happpy ending. The old saying "when you set out for revenge, dig two graves (one for yourself) applies.
