Double Naughty Now !! Well Mad, does that mean I am in your Naughty Club? oldbroad, my reflexes were pretty good at that age but when it came to games that required Fast Typing Input = Forget it. On another subject: Has anyone heard from Sanford, seems like it has been a LONG time he has been here and I am worried about him, I know he LOVES adventure games, does anyone have any news about him? I hope he is A-OK. Or did I miss his latest posts.

The system shows that Sanford's last log-in was June of last year Thanks Marian and oldbroad.... Hmm, Let us hope that he is still catching up on his Huge Stock of Adv. games and too busy to visit the Forum.

Hi all,
so I started playing Tex 2 and I am not sure what to make of it. I will play a bit more and see. It seems to require quick reflexes as well. But for me - with my super-quick reflexes undoubtedly unmatched by anyone here on this forum - it should not be a big problem ;-) For those who are struggling with slow reflexes up to the point that mere mentioning of quick reflexes by some random guy arises feelings of hate, I recommend a few Doom 3 training sessions ;-)

Hi. Oh you of the quick reflexes !! Actually, my own are not that bad. I just don't enjoy things like timed, action sequences in Adventure games. I don't feel they belong. Even though, of course, I accept them in RPG's. I primarily play games to enjoy myself - not to test my preflexes !!

@Mad Kidding aside, I was just being ironic in my last post of course. I don't care about quick reflexes at all, nor am I particular proud of them. I only pointed out I had them to illustrate how difficult the puzzle was. In general, I don't like it all if an adventure has timed elements or anything that requires quick reflexes. I feel this is something that should never be inside an adventure game, it simply contradicts my understanding what an adventure should be like. My days of playing shoot'em up games ended a looooong time ago. Regarding Tex Murphy I can't wait for Poisoned Pawn to be released. I think the trailer is magnificent. Any updates on that, anyone?

Dear mike_bn , first off I do not hate you or anybody else in this Great Forum, envious maybe and I know you are putting me in the slow reflexes category that needs training... So now that I put you in the I like category like the rest of the members here, if I ever meet you in person, I will Cuff you behind the ears for being a sassy little brat (Just kidding of course, still like you). Take care and be safe everyone.

Last update was mid last year. Still being worked on. They aren't big on updates unless they have something big to say.

@starcom: @oldbroad: I am happy that I could make you laugh :-) @Ana,Marian: thanks for the info. I really hope the project will be finished sometime and not turn into one of these never ending stories like other game development projects PS: Here is the Poisoned Pawn trailer I mentioned, for those who don't know it I really recommend watching it, its really, really great (I love the music and the voice of the talker/narrator(?)) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zzh_-yAc20

So I finished Tex 2 today. Good games I always try to solve on my own, but to honest I did not like Tex 2 at all, so I finished it using a walkthrough constantly. I completed the game only for the sake of getting to know the story and to play all games of the series.
I mean of course, we all have different tastes and I heard some of you quite likee the game, but I think there are a lot of things which are objectively pretty bad/awful (even if you consider the age of the game) and for me, personally, the good parts (story was ok) were not good enough to make up for it. Tex 1 I liked somewhat. So now I have played Tex 1,2,3,4 and together with my gaming buddy Jochen we will play Tex 5 next (playing at the same time each on his own computer without giving hints to each other). I hope Tex 5 is good....

Thanks, oldbroad I am pretty optimistic that I am going to enjoy it - it got solid reviews and looks similar to Tex 3 (which I liked) and Tex 4 (which I really liked, great game). Have you played any of the Tex games? If not, I would recommend to start with Tex 3 and then move on with Tex 4.
