Usually when a game from Big Fish freezes on me and I have to Ctl-Alt-Del out of it, it isn't that big a deal. I reboot the computer, start the game, and it remembers where I was in the game. I may have to repeat a HOP scene if the game froze during the scene, but that's all.
So hopefully you can just start up the game again and continue where you left off.
The reason I reboot is that there might be faulty stuff in memory that would cause another crash. Rebooting clears the computer memory. However rebooting isn't always necessary. It depends on the bug that caused the crash.
If a Big Fish game decides to be a crashpot there's not a lot you can do about it to prevent it from crashing again. It's something the developers have to fix. This game is from 2011. It may have received updates (if you have the download version) but it has very low system requirements, so it's not a matter of your computer not having the requirements -- it's a bug.
