I have a virtual (iso) drive that I would like to eliminate. I have tried the eject function, and it results in an error message.

I have also tried erasing the contents of the 'drive' - doesn't work

I even tried to format, but no response. Any ideas?

If this iso is mounted as a virtual CD drive inside a virtual machine, you "eject" it using the controls of the virtual machine (usually found in the toolbar of the virtual machine).

If you are using something like Daemon-Tools with a virtual CD image, look for an icon at the right side of your computer's taskbar and right-click it to see options to mount and eject CD images.

It's not in a virtual machine. I have done that before, but not on this computer. Also had Daemon before, so downloaded the 'free' version and it doesn't recognize the iso. I'm just going to leave it alone.

On another note; just curious - I seem to be getting a lot of 'site not secure' warnings. Just downloaded a demo from Big Fish and it said it 'can't be downloaded securely; keep anyway?' What's up with that suddenly?

Everyone I know who has gotten that message when downloading from Big Fish is using the Chrome web browser. This message is a Chrome issue. I do not get that message with Firefox. Those other warning messages are due to the Chrome web browser as well. In the case of Big Fish at least, that message is nothing to be concerned about - it's just annoying.

There's an article about it here.

I guess there are people out there who welcome this sort of thing, but for me I don't want my web browser to constantly be dictating to me what I should and should not be doing, particularly with websites that I trust. And it's only going to get more intrusive from here.

Google Chrome and Firefox use different certificate stores.
That's why Firefox may succeed while Chrome fails.
Here's a website telling how to fix the problem in Chrome.
