Hi Guys

I am playing this game at the moment, and my charater is moving like she is walking in mud, I think it maybe my Graphics Card (Radeon 7700 Series) which I have had for about 4 years now, also I only have 12 GB of RAM, My processor is an Intel Core i3 2120 CPU @ 3.30Ghz, what I dont really want to do is totally upgrade my PC if I can help it, would a new Graphics Card and a 16GB Ram chip solve my problem, can anyone let me know please

Cheers
SAFC

I am going to put up the minimum and recommended system requirements for the game and then the techies can weigh in on this.

Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 x64 and UP
Processor: Intel i3 or AMD equivalent or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Graphics NVIDIA GTX 1060 or higher

Recommended:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 x64 and UP
Processor: Intel core i5 or AMD equivalent or better
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: Graphics NVIDIA GTX 1080 or higher

You have plenty of RAM. 16 GB is nice, but I'm still running high end shooters on 8 GB, so your 12 GB is fine. I've been gone all morning, so let me do some checking on your video card, but I suspect that is your problem. If you do think about upgrading it, you will need to find out what your power supply is.

That video card is much less than the minimum requirement, let alone the recommended requirement for this particular game.

I just looked up pricing on a GTX 1080 on the Amazon UK website. Holy cow! They are £450 on up!

Don't forget to check on the wattage of your power supply, as you might need a better one with the new video card.

As I mentioned above, if you upgrade the video card, you will need to know what your power supply is as that may need to be upgraded too.

Oops! I see Marian beat me to it!

Hi Guys

Just to let you know I have upgraded my Video Card to a Nvidia GTZ 1650 which I purchased for £139, I checked my Power Supply which is 650 wats so no problems with that, it was only after I had installed the card that I found out that it was Digital and my monitor had the Analog leads (Doh) I managed to source a Digital compatible 27" used monitor for £30 with a 2 year warranty remaining (my previous monitor was only 19"). I have just updated the game and its running really smooth now slow coach movement or the game hanging

Many Thanks for you help Guys, and happy Gaming

Cheers
SAFC

Wow! Well-done. There are adapters to be able to use analog monitors with digital video cards, but I think you're going to love gaming on that snazzy 27 inch monitor! You should be able to game quite nicely for a long time to come!

Congratulations on getting that card for a good price.

Usually I just use an adapter, but a 27" monitor is fine as long as it fits your desk space.

Hi Guys

I looked at getting an adaptor but it would take about a week to arrive as the shop did not have any in stock so when I was offered the monitor it was to good to miss out on

Really enjoying the game now and looking forward to the next chapter in the Syberia series

Once again many thanks for all your help and Info

Cheers
SAFC

I'd say that was a good trade-off!
