LOS ANGELES, CA - November 10, 2020 - Akupara Games announced its exciting partnership earlier in the year with Irish developer Spooky Doorway to bring their title The Darkside Detective: Season 2 to life in 2021 only to reveal yet another exciting detail during The Escapist Showcase - its official title - The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark. The reveal includes an exclusive case teaser of what users can expect for the upcoming spooky adventure game.

The Darkside Detective is a serial point-and-click adventure where you are put in the shoes of Detective McQueen and his sidekick, Officer Patrick Dooley, investigating cases plaguing Twin Lakes and its colourful citizens. A Fumble in the Dark continues to expand the Darkside Universe by adding an additional six cases full of loveable characters, old and new, wacky dialogue and out-of-the-box puzzles with unconventional solutions. This year, The Darkside Detective has already been included in multiple feature lineups and showcases - most notably, DreadXP’s Spooky Showcase and Code Coven’s Indie Haunted House that included video interviews and Q&As with the development team.

“We're excited to announce the full title of our next game in The Darkside Detective series. A Fumble in the Dark is a bigger, longer and funnier instalment and we can't wait to unleash its ghoulish adventures. Dooley and McQueen are here to investigate and things are going to get weird.” - Paul Conway, Lead Artist of Spooky Doorway

The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark is set to launch on PC, Mac, Linux, and Switch in early 2021. The demo is now live on Steam for users to get a taste of the spookiness to come.

Thanks Ana!

Nice to see your comment on the game Marian. I haven't bought this. Not sure about all the pixel stuff.

It takes some getting used to, oldbroad, particularly if you haven't previously played really old games that are that pixelated. It doesn't bother me because I was playing computer games back in the 1980s. I found the Darkside Detective to be very pleasant, light entertainment.
