First Look Teaser for the upcoming science-fiction point and click adventure game "Monolith". From the creators of the Secret Files and Lost Horizon Series.

View the trailer here.

Check out the official website here.

Quote
The pilot Nolan Carter crashes on a distant planet. In order to survive, he follows a mysterious, rhythmic signal at the source of which he hopes for help. What he then discovers, however, questions everything he has previously believed in and makes him doubt his sanity.

Monolith is a classic adventure game that tells a science fiction short story. The average playing time will be 4 to 5 hours.

The style and atmosphere of the 50 detailed, hand-drawn locations are based on genre models such as "The Dig" or "Beneath a Steel Sky".

Cel shading technology ensures a perfect symbiosis of 3D characters and 2D backgrounds.

Happy Gaming!

This is certainly interesting to me, thank you, BrownEyedTigre, but it will have to be a LOT better than Lost Horizons 2 !!

Hmm, that's interesting!
'Monolith' was first announced in 2011, then put into hiatus and brought back in 2015.
The official site still says that the release is planned for Q2 2015, and that 2020 trailer is the first news since then.
Is there any information on the current release date?

Iurii, this may answer some questions:
Quote
Monolith has continued to be implemented over the past few years on the edge of our ports. It took a special route when it was further developed by a team of 5 students as a corporate project at the former Vitruvius University in Leipzig in the ′′ Game Design ′′ course. As time passes, of course, new ideas come, which can be incorporated into such an open project. We were open to these influences so the game kept making adjustments. This certainly didn't speed up the process, but made the game more interesting in our eyes.

Now the game is back in focus and will receive new content, improved graphics and revised staging over the next few months to make it ready for market. Our team is smaller compared to previous titles, so we can't make a precise statement on a completion date for a shorter game like Monolith.

The release is planned for PC, mobile devices and (for the first time as a publisher) for the Nintendo Switch. We will inform you about further progress here and we are looking forward to presenting you a new Animation Arts game soon!
With best wishes,
Your Animation Arts Team
