I think those are sheep standing in the shadow of a wind turbine.

Mary had a little lamb
who always sought her maid
and every where that Mary went
her lamb was sure to stay
but then one day
when Mary went
they found a tall, tall fan
and ever since that fateful day
her sheep preferred the shade
