In a not-so-distant future, advances in neurological science and artificial intelligence gives birth to a new technology by which it is possible to scan and interpret thoughts of the human mind. The procedure is soon discovered to wreak havoc on the minds of test subjects, rendering them severely demented or insane. Clinical trials are quickly ended, and the technology is put on hold until legislators permit law enforcement to use it on recently deceased victims of crime. By retrieving their last fading memories, detectives can find details vital to a case, often realising the identity of the perpetrator right at the crime scene. The process, dubbed “Invasive Recall”, is adopted by specially trained units who’s detectives go by the nickname “Mind Readers”.

Recall detectives John Landon and Rachel Hapley only know each other by reputation. Landon is a rookie detective for the city police; Rachel is working for a tech savvy, well funded privatized organization. Landon is investigating the murder of a prominent scientists while Rachel is working on a set of mysterious disappearances. Little do they know that their paths are about to cross, and that they soon will face a vastly more sinister truth than the everyday crime and corruption of the city.

Classic 2d point and click adventure: We grew up with the point and click genre, and we think that it has time and again proven itself as a great vehicle for telling intriguing stories. We are not aiming to reinvent the wheel, we just want to take what was good of the classic games like maniac mansion, monkey island, fullthrottle and broken sword and make a traditional and well crafted game.

Character switching: Switch between Rachel and Landon at will. Character switching is great for adding variety to both story and puzzles. It gives an alternative approach for the player if stuck and also opens up to interesting puzzles where character collaboration is the only solution.

Vast city to explore: As you discover new places to explore you can move freely between the scenes of the city thanks to police responders used by both Landon and Rachel.

Puzzles that enhance and move the story forward, without obstructing it: Our goal is to make the puzzles feel like a natural part of the world of the game, and never feel like something shoehorned in for the sake of adding friction. having said that, we do love puzzles and the game will have lots of them!
