Remove an "L" from the first word to get the second. No anagramming required.
Example: brag / farm animal = gloat/goat
-1. pigments / brand of beer -2. decoration on the hilt of a sword / apple -3. snub / word with line, over or gun -4. a lucky leaf perhaps / encompass -5. rectangular key that fits into a groove / part of a book jacket -6. a sheepish comment? / pulse -7. roar / under -8. using an alley / showing respect -9. a garden tool / someone who works on your floor -10. coat / favorite
