Hi, I just know you will give me good advice. I am going to buy a Chrome book, only as they are lighter than my laptop ,it is so heavy and I need something for a 4. 1/2 hour flight. Real green when buying new stuff. The advice I am hoping for is, can I transfer all my steam games to it and be able to play them and will I be able to use Netflix and amazon prime videos. I have accounts for these . I have seen one on Amazon for only £269 which I think would be ok. Regards Maggsie

As was stated in the link Upsydaisy provided, the short answer is NO. Yes, you can install the Steam Client, but even then you will need to be able to run an Android or Linux app. But, no a cheap Chromebook will not be able to run any games. You will need to spend north of $600 for one that can run even low end games. And you have to be sure the game is able to be run on a non-Windows or Mac platform. Very few are.
Forgot to address the Netflix and Prime question. Yes, but as these are streaming services, this assumes you will have WiFi available during your flight.

Thanks draclvr. I have given up. I will save up for a decent one. Plus my flight to see my daughter in Lanzarote who I haven't see for nearly a year, has been cancelled so I am not a happy bunny. Kind regards for your research Maggsie

Oh, no! So sorry your flight got cancelled! My son and his family who live in Colorado here in the states just left after a 5 day visit. I hadn't seen them in TWO years!
