Drac, that is so cool! Will you be keeping all the chicks?
L4L, thank you!
Mad, I did not report it. I'm better today but it flared up my ulcer so it'll be awhile.

Good question with the chicks, Ana! Yes and no! Half of them will grow up to be roosters, we will need to make decisions about them in 6 months or so. I have three roosters right now and there is relative peace as the other two respect the head rooster, Bob.
But for now, they are adorable little balls of black and tan fluff about the size of a large cotton ball!

Drac, too funny! I do not have a good relationship with roosters. They are mean. And I know what you mean about crowing all the time. I hear them all day long while I'm working. Chickens and roosters are a big thing around here these days.

Colorado grandkids are heading back to Denver this morning. It's going to be strange and quiet for a little while! With 7 of us in the house, it's been barely controlled chaos! But fun in spite of the horrid weather. Sun finally came out enough for them to put a couple of kayaks in the water and jump in the VERY COLD pool yesterday!

Back to gloomy, so we enlisted a friend for power-washing our badly neglected upper back deck and put together our new deck furniture. Now its like another living space. We can only use it in the late afternoon because it gets too hot out there, but for an evening barbeque it's just perfect. Some pretty new pots and a few perennials and we'll be all set!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone That's wonderful Mary ... enjoy your outing with son Sounds like a good plan Connie and fun to boot Shopping, chores and projects accompanied by music are on the docket for me ... needs to store 'energy' this weekend as next week will/might involve very long days and short nights; we'll see how the week unfolds at work Italian Roast, Scottish breakfast tea (with a fantastic malty flavor) and lemonade in the Break Room. Have a wonderful Saturday everyone

I'm going to have to find some of that Scottish breakfast tea. I'm a Chai gal these days, but sometimes I just want a plain cup of tea.
Gloomy and windy again. We're watching the French Open instead of going out anywhere. Federer is up this afternoon.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
