It's been a really hot week here to work outside. 90's and humid. I welcomed todays thunderstorms, except that I was with my boss and our dogs about an hour away from home hiking and letting the dogs swim. We made it back to the car in time! Hope you all are having a great weekend! I have a Bernese Mountain Dog here as a boarder, she's always such a joy to have. Ana

oldbroad, we had quite the downpour and fairly high winds for well over an hour at my house after I got home and I don't know when it started here because I was in Batavia. Our grass and plants sure sighed in relief!

Found it on Amazon and ordered some Scottish Breakfast tea!
Work in the tomato forest for me today. In the 90's with extremely high humidity, so a dip in the pool later will be on the agenda!
Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!

Gale force winds here, the kind that shuts down the small local ferries. Out garden is full of singing robins this morning, which has my Willow chattering and lashing her tail on the balcony.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Ana, I know we both live in Chicagoland area, and we could definitely use more rain where that came from. I haven't been able to put out my whirlygigs cus the ground too dry.
Hagatha, check out that book draft. Who knows you might want to improve on it.
Much as I love my pooch, he's caused me to rearrange my sleep habits. I'm not a morning person at all. Can't start thinking until at least 7. But he's up at 5:30 for breakfast. Course, that's after sleeping form 8:30 pm the previous night. HAH
Thanks everyone for your supportive push on writing about sleep apnea. Truth, I've got about 5 other books I want to write about different phases of my life, and maybe even a couple of fiction. Got to concentrate on my gaming right now. Always put playing on the side; retirement demands some attention to that first. I recently learned about an 86 yr old woman who just authored a book about her life as a nun. She chose that profession during 1940s, and their rules made her whole life go a different path than she had wanted. I don't plan to wait that long, still impressive that she did it at that age.
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

hi butterflybabe , yes good luck with writing about sleep apnea, my brother has that and from I hear it is a Real Adventure re: Mask, water tank, etc.
As for your Pooch we have had dogs and cats most of our life and we had dogs waking up early like you mention, and you also mentioned he or she sleeps from 8:30 PM on, what we did is change their sleeping habits, when we see that they are going to retire to early, we would wake the up and make them walk around, play with them and made sure they didn't sleep until later. Doing this does not harm them unless they are very Old or very sick, all our dogs lived a Long and Happy life and so did we.

butterflybabe, I have dog boarders here that come from all kinds of households with different morning and evening routines, I have them switched to my schedule by the 3rd day tops. First thing to go, is he isn't eating at 5:30am. If they have to go potty, that's one thing, but no big interactions, just do your thing and go back to bed. Feed him at his old time. He will stop waking you if he doesn't get what he wants.

family, did you know Judge Judy filmed her last Judge Judy Episode? She will have a new show starting in the fall on Amazon Prime Video streaming.
